This paper presents measured flue gas emissions of a domestic biomass boiler under both normal and idle operating conditions. Under normal combustion conditions the boiler emits low levels of CO and NO x which confirms that the boiler satisfies EN 303-5. However when the boiler was in an idle state the CO concentration in the flue gas could be dangerously highup to 0.9%.
